THE HOUSE OF NINA RICCI
A synonym of style and timeless femininity since its creation, the House of Nina Ricci has acquired a prestigious reputation in the area of fashion and perfume.
Although its celebrity is unquestionably tied to the world of luxury fragrance, the Nina Ricci story actually began with the opening in Paris of Nina Ricci couture in 1932.
The House of Ricci rapidly became one of the French capital's most elegant,
thanks in particular to the dynamism of Robert Ricci, the creator's son.
Featured in a beautiful bottle created by Marc Lalique, "L'Air du Temps" was
born in 1948 and was the forerunner of numerous successes, including Capricci,
Farouche and Nina. Masculine products have always been part of the Ricci
universe, notably with the Ricci Club boutique, on François 1er street and the
1989 success of the Ricci Club perfume.
In April 2009, Nina Ricci named
Peter Copping as Artistic Director for the House. Copping's arrival signaled a
new step forward at Nina Ricci, where his love of flowing feminine lines echoes
the spirit of Madame Ricci. Delighted by the new possibilities he has
discovered, Peter Copping shares the aspirations and outlook of Robert Ricci.
Without hesitation, he cites the motto of Madame Ricci, the founder of the
House, for whom the goal is to "make every woman beautiful and reveal her
special charm and personality."
